Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator in NORWICH, Connecticut. As a Systems Administrator, you will be tasked with managing and maintaining our company's computer systems, including our databases and networks. This role plays a crucial part in our day-to-day operations and contributes significantly to our technological infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure

• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools

• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes

• Oversee the development and enhancement of systems and integrate new systems into existing ones

• Work with stakeholders to define system requirements and understand business needs

• Develop and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to establish the best technology for the business

• Train new system users and set up their accounts

• Manage the network to ensure it is functioning optimally and securely Requirements • Proficiency in Cisco Technologies

• Familiarity with Database management

• Proficient in Dell Technologies

• Experience in EO/IR systems

• Knowledge of Linux Technologies

• Proficiency in Active Directory

• Experience with Backup Technologies

• Familiarity with Computer Hardware

• Ability to perform Configuration Management
