Clean Harbors Pricing Manager in Norwell, Massachusetts

Clean Harbors in Norwell, MA is looking for a Pricing Manager . The Pricing Manager works as a generalist in pricing functions and is responsible for providing sound and logical pricing decisions for the Field Services line of business. The Pricing Manager plays an important role in the growth and profitability of Field Services, overseeing the pricing strategy, updating system costs, and managing pricing systems. The Pricing Manager provides feedback to the sales and marketing management team on ways to grow segments, identify changes in the market, and communicate creative ideas to enhance company capabilities.

  • Approves and develops pricing strategy for all Field Service proposals by working between proposal development team, sales, and operations to grow business profitably

  • Assists Pricing Director with maintaining company’s pricing and costing tables, including the basis and rules for the tables

  • Works with business analysts/price improvement team for pricing guidance in evaluating expiring contracts/quotes

  • Continual daily review of the Quote Workbench to ensure speed of service to customers and to ensure that those with pricing rights know their roles and responsibilities and to improve profitability as well as wins. Provide constructive criticism and feedback to the people creating and/or approving quotes, and provide training on new tools

  • Assist in developing information system tools for measuring and managing profitability, selling strategies against major competitors, and marketing trends and competitor capacities

  • Uses quarterly and ad-hoc pricing analysis to make pricing recommendations to leadership team and local operations

  • Performs market reviews projecting price movement within a Region or District

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Field Services pricing & system execution, working to support the local sales and operation teams

  • Responds to requests for general Field Services pricing guidance promptly

  • Other Duties as Assigned

  • Negotiating skills

  • Working knowledge of environmental statutes and regulations, business development, revenue enhancement and market penetration

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communications skills

  • Customer Service orientated

  • Knowledge of scoping/pricing of Field Service work

  • Knowledge of hazardous waste

  • Knowledge of equipment, environmental regulations/statutes, safety and compliance

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel

  • Analytical skills a plus
