::: {ogsc="black"} Overview: The Development and Marketing Associate supports fundraising, development, and marketing efforts for STAR. This role works closely with the Development Director and wider team to cultivate donor relationships, manage fundraising campaigns, and coordinate events while enhancing the organizations visibility through effective marketing and social media strategies. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about nonprofit work, capable of creating meaningful connections with donors and increasing public awareness of the organization's mission and impact. :::

Event Coordination and Community Networking:
Plan and coordinate fundraising, donor, and volunteer events, managing logistics, marketing, invitations, vendor relations, and post-event follow-up. Use AI-based software for event planning and post-event analytics.
Communication and Content Creation:
Draft and edit donor communications, including newsletters, appeals, social media posts and stewardship letters.
Produce engaging and impactful content for social media, website updates, press releases, newsletters, and promotional materials, aligning with brand guidelines and organizational goals. Leverage AI tools for content generation, trend analysis, and campaign optimization.

Fundraising Campaigns and Donor Engagement:
Assist in developing and executing fundraising campaigns, including annual appeals, capital campaigns, and online giving initiatives. Utilize AI driven analytics to personalize outreach and track donor engagement.
Maintain and build relationships with donors, ensuring timely acknowledgements and communications to foster engagement and gratitude.
Volunteer Coordination:
Recruit, screen and train new volunteers to support STAR programs and activities.
Maintain accurate volunteer records, including schedules, contact information and hours contributed.
Develop and maintain relationships with volunteers, providing ongoing support, recognition, and engagement opportunities.
Coordinate volunteer assignments and schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and maximize their impact on program success.
Data Management and Reporting:
Maintain accurate donor, volunteer, and fundraising records in the organizations database. Utilize AI-driven insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
