We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the local government sector in the Cerritos area. As an Accounting Clerk, your role will be crucial in managing the financial data related to childcare subsidies. Your tasks will involve handling time cards, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records using various software tools.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately input weekly time cards submitted by childcare providers into the system

• Process payments with precision and efficiency

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to maintain and manage financial data

• Conduct regular checks and updates on customer credit records

• Resolve any inquiries or discrepancies related to customer accounts

• Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of all financial data

• Use your knowledge in Accounts Payable to manage and monitor customer accounts

• Perform data entry tasks as needed to maintain up-to-date records.

Requirements

• Applicant must have at least 1 year of experience in an accounting role.

• Proficiency in data entry is required.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.

• Candidate should be skilled in using Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong focus on detail and accuracy in all work.
