RESPONSIBILITES SUMMARY

VP of Brokerage Services-Compliance/Retention

  • Oversight on transactions

  • Board/Professional Standards Involvement (not mandatory, but encouraged)

  • Compliance

  • Well versed in state license laws, ethics, and compliance

  • Deal doctoring

RESPONSIBILITIES BY ROLE EXPANDED

VP of Brokerage Services-Compliance/Retention

  • Experienced in all aspects of residential real estate transactions with 3-5 years of sales experience; knowledge of real estate laws, contracts and procedures; hold active local real estate or broker’s license.

  • Reviews and signs listing agreements and disclosures

  • Authorizes commission adjustments during transactions

  • Settles broker disputes

  • Representative at arbitration

  • New Agent compliance

  • Reviews and authorizes form modification

  • Ensures compliance for what assistants / team members can & can’t do

  • Monitors cases from state regulatory bodies

  • Monitors MLS rules changes

  • Ensures office compliance with license law / audit

  • Addresses agency questions and providing guidance on disclosure requirements

  • Upholds minimum commission requirements

  • Authorizes listing and deal cancellations

  • Addresses MLS violations or inquiries

  • Works with operations to ensure record keeping and process compliance

  • Signs for liens and other legal instruments to collect on commissions

  • Works with legal on any disputes

  • Enforces team supervisory requirements

  • Provide strategic guidance on how to have commission and fees discussions

  • Drives disassociation paperwork

  • Presents contents and fields Q & A at office meetings
