Dental AssistantJob Description

We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team to support one of LA's leading healthcare organizations. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced clinic setting with adults, focusing on dental assisting duties. Requirements

  • Dental Assistant Diploma

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish

  • Ability to work 7:00am-4:00am or 8:00am-5:00pm

  • 6+ months of dental assistant experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in a clinical setting

  • Document patient interactions and medical procedures accurately

  • Take and record patient vitals

  • Room patients and prepare them for examinations

  • Prepare treatment room for patient

  • Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist’s access; suctioning; passing instruments Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.

  • Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts

  • Expose dental diagnostic x-rays

  • Ensure the health history is updated

  • Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.

  • Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; call for repairs, when necessary

  • Fabricates temporary restorations or custom impressions from preliminary impressions.

  • Makes preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.

Essential Skills

  • DA Diploma

  • Proficiency in medical documentation

  • Experience with taking patient vitals

  • Experience in rooming patients

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced clinic environment. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The clinic provides a supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Downtown Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00
