Location Description Northfield, Minn. is home to two Post Consumer Brands manufacturing plants, the Campbell Mill and Ames Mill, two distribution centers, and more than 750 team members. The Campbell Mill plant is 1 million square feet and is home to 7 manufacturing technologies to produce a wide variety of cereal products our customers know and love. Northfield is a town steeped in history, featuring two colleges and the original Ames Mill where the Malt-O-Meal Company got its start. Post Consumer Brands is looking for an Operations Management Intern for a 12-week summer 2025 immersive and transformative internship experience. Consider joining our team to launch the success story of your career journey and help us deliver our purpose of: To make lives better by making delicious food accessible for all.     JOB FUNCTION  The purpose of this position is to provide an immersive experience and opportunity to an individual looking develop on-the-job operations experience at a manufacturing facility. This position will be located in Northfield, MN, at one of our largest plant locations. You will work collaboratively with tenured Operations and other cross-functional leaders while providing front line production support to sustain and improve safety, quality, yield, production rates and efficiencies by working on assigned activities.     MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES / DUTIES    The Operations Management Intern may assist in several projects and/or operations support roles in the Operations department.  Assignments may include work such as:  Develop a workforce optimization plan that improves pounds per labor hour metrics Implement process changes that positively impact productivity, decreases cost, improves production rates and/or reduces downtime Observe team dynamics and propose training and development plans in collaboration with operations leadership, training and human resources Learn how to demonstrate daily continuous improvement and change needed to deliver business results Draft and deploy standard work processes that establish efficiencies and accountability   Specific project and operational roles will be identified 30-60 days prior to the start of the internship, based on business needs and intern interests.  Qualifications Candidates must be pursuing a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree or at an institution with an accredited program in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or a related field graduating December 2025 or May 2026.  Proven leadership, strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills  Ability to work independently and in teams  Strong written and oral communication skills  The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative to identify areas of opportunity and take action  A high level of competence in computer applications and the ability to use technology as a decision-support tool  Ability to identify and evaluate tactical methods to achieve objectives, identify deviations from the plan, and facilitate resolution  Ability to handle confidential information and use discretion within and outside of the organization  Previous internship or work experience (strongly preferred)  Interest in the consumer-packaged goods / manufacturing industry with the desire to start a career with Post Consumer Brands after graduation (strongly preferred)  We are unable to proceed with candidates who require visa sponsorship now or in the future    Additional Program Information & Perks   Offering competitive compensation   Access to a dynamic internship event program including development, networking, & social activities   Eligible for subsidized housing & $2,500 relocation stipend    Cereal galore – enjoy a variety of cereal options in our break room, for free.
