UL, LLC Senior HRIS Analyst in Northbrook, Illinois

The Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of Oracle HR. The role involves managing data, ensuring data accuracy, analyzing HR data, and providing seasoned recommendations for improvement. The Senior HR Analyst will collaborate closely with HR and IT teams to identify system needs, troubleshoot issues, lead functional system testing, and support system upgrades. Additionally, this role will involve training HR staff on system practices. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in cloud-based HR systems, data analysis, and system troubleshooting.

Provides Oracle HR System support to our internal HR team. This individual will be the primary point of contact for ticket/issue resolution and liaise with IT on issues that require IT intervention. Responsible for designing and developing reports for management, business units and HR to assess business and organizational priorities. Assists in recommendations for new or modified systems equipment and software. Assists in analyzing system change requests and enhancements and recommending appropriate prioritization.

  • Develops strong working relationships with end users to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems as well as use seasoned judgment to creatively improve and automate current processes.

  • Primary point of contact for ticket/issue resolution and liaise with IT on issues that require IT intervention. Recommends and develops system modifications which will enhance system capabilities to meet the evolving demands of the Human Resources field and the organization.

  • Creates training documentation and lead regular training sessions to end users on how to utilize Oracle Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Coordinates upgrades and conversions and testing with new HRIS releases. Creates and maintains an HRIS playbook describing HRIS processes and procedures.

  • Serves as the technical point of contact for data integrity and analyzing data trends. Reviews data sets on a regular basis and supports and corrects data inaccuracies. Ensures accuracy of the organizational structure in Oracle HR.

  • Designs and develops reports for management, business units, and HR to assess business and organizational priorities.

  • Responsible for data entry and updating and maintain HR set-ups that are used by the end users for data entry. Research complex data inconsistencies in the HRIS and, working with necessary departments, make the required changes to ensure data integrity.

  • Develops and leverages a deep understanding of downstream system impacts of Oracle HR changes. Regularly troubleshoots, corrects, and partners with IT on downstream system issues or anomalies.

  • Supports data retrieval for audits and partners with audit teams on general inquiries.

  • Read and follow the UL Solutions Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices

  • Performs other duties as directed.

  • University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business, or a related disciplines plus generally five years of directly related experience.

  • Experience with Oracle or other related cloud-based HCM systems is required.

  • Experience with Oracle E Business Suite is preferred

  • Experience with ServiceNow is preferred

  • Expertise required in MS Office with advanced knowledge of Excel/v-look-up and pivot tables.

  • Experience working with HR compliance and regulatory issues.

  • Strong quantitative knowledge and experience; comfortable with assuming technical ownership of data and applying qualitative assessments of the information.

  • Strong records maintenance and organizational skills required.
