Actalent Quality Control Technician in Northbrook, Illinois

Job Description

The quality control technician will be primarily responsible for the analysis of raw materials and production materials to ensure that compliance and specification are being met. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Approve raw materials and finished goods for use.

  • Determination of physical values of materials, chromatographic compliance, as detailed in Quality Control procedural manual.

  • Work to preform pH testing, specific gravity, refractory, titrations, GC, micro plating and more.

  • Report discrepancies to Quality Control Manager and assist in determination of origin.

  • Perform calibration of instrumentation.

  • Must have technical ability to run GC's and perform preventatives maintenance of instrumentation as detailed within the technical manuals.

  • Adhere to safety guidelines within the workplace.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related.

  • 1 year of experience working in quality control

  • 1 year of experience working with documentation

  • 1 year of experience following GMPs
