Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Job Description

Aerotek is hiring for our client in Northbrook, IL within an edible flavor production environment looking to add to their quality team. Quality Control Technician responsibilities include the analysis of raw materials and production materials to ensure compliance with literature and/or derived specifications. The role involves solving quality non-conformance issues, approving raw materials and finished goods for use, and conducting organoleptic evaluations of materials. Reporting discrepancies to the Quality Control Supervisor and assisting in the determination of origin are also key responsibilities. The technician will determine the physical values of materials and ensure chromatographic compliance as detailed in the Quality Control procedural manual. Additional duties include the calibration of instrumentation, running gas chromatographs (GCs), performing preventive maintenance of instrumentation, and adhering to workplace safety guidelines.

Pay & Shift:

• Pay: $23.00-25.00 starting, based off experience and in-person interview

• Hours: 1st shift hours 7:00am-3:30pm M-F (OT available based off demands)

Hard Skills

• 1-3 years of QC experience within a flavors, fragrances, or pharmaceutical company

• Understanding of chemistry and mixing of chemicals

• Technical ability to run GCs and perform preventive maintenance of instrumentation

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Northbrook, Illinois.

Work Environment

Clean, up-to-date laboratory. Facility designed for team interaction with a large kitchen, break room, and a botanical garden in the middle of the facility for employees to enjoy. This environment is GMP regulated, as they produce edible flavors.
