UL, LLC Learning & Development Manager - Americas in Northbrook, Illinois

We are looking for an outstanding, engaging Learning & Development Manager to identify and address organizational and learning needs aligned with business goals.

This hybrid role, based at our Northbrook, IL offices, involves leading global programs, facilitating leadership and management training, and coaching teams. The manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and improve learning programs, set local training standards, and manage resources.

As part of a global team, this individual will work cross-culturally, supporting regions outside North American time zones to ensure high collaboration and effective program delivery.

  • Implement the global learning and development strategy

  • Ensure consistency across regions while addressing local needs

  • Develop and maintain standardized learning processes to build accountability

  • Identify learning needs based on business direction and create yearly plans

  • Design, improve, and adapt learning programs to achieve desired outcomes

  • Facilitate post-training application and consult with senior management

  • Coach teams to enhance learning effectiveness and provide feedback to trainers

  • Analyze post-training results and suggest improvements to the LMS

  • Manage in-house trainers and build relationships with external training vendors

  • Lead learning and development projects at local, regional, and global levels

  • Communicate with stakeholders and adapt as needed to keep projects on track

  • Provide professional advice and lead matrixed teams for global projects

  • Facilitate leadership and management workshops, adjusting to participants’ needs

  • Plan and prioritize organizational design resources

  • Design and implement project and change management strategies

  • Collaborate with clients to achieve desired organizational development outcomes

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Training, Organizational Development, or related field

  • 8 years of professional experience, preferably in a multi-national company

  • Expertise in consulting and identifying Learning and Development needs

  • Strong knowledge of training, organizational development, and learning practices

  • Experience in supervisory and management skills training

  • Proven ability to assess organizational needs, administer programs, and manage complex projects

  • Excellent facilitation skills for supervisory and management training

  • Nice to Have - experience as a people leader
