Reds All Natural, LLC Cook-room Production Processing Supervisor in North Sioux City, South Dakota

Job Summary: The kitchen processing supervisor is responsible for maintaining an effective operation within the processing department. Directly manage kitchen operations for a two-shift, six days a week facility comprising of twenty-three value add employees. Sustain a procedure of consistent product presentation to support the brand and corporate image while safeguarding compliance with all FDA, USDA, OSHA, and Reds All Natural policies, procedures, and regulations. Effectively communicate changes to the production plans that react to increases or decreases in demand in both written and verbal forms, and at all levels in the organization. Collaborate with personnel from multiple disciplines and divisions to ensure plans are executed and capacity or other constraints are identified and resolved. Develop and maintain a successful staff through selection, training, leadership, and motivation.

Responsibilities: - Plan, support, and conduct staff meetings and training programs.

Conducts daily inspections of all areas of the facility to ensure compliance with established standards.

Coordinate with Operations, Warehousing, Scheduling, Procurement and Processing staff to ensure products are produced on time.

Maintain daily communication with Operations Manager to address facilities and processing needs or concerns.

Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.

Ensure kitchen processing area is clean and organized.

  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), standard process documents (SPDs), one-point lessons (OPLs), prepare reports and work instructions.
  • Draft capacity output plans to evaluate sustainability of existing and new manufacturing processes.
  • Sustain existing documentation and support development of equipment preventative maintenance (PMs).
  • Identify and implement yield opportunities.
  • Lead working level communities to explore opportunities for improvement projects.
  • Manage manpower, equipment, raw materials, and ingredient resources to meet production objectives.
  • Review regular production performance reports.
  • Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support product quality and food safety processes to ensure that finished products meet specifications and regulatory standards.

Monitor inventory levels, perform daily and weekly inventory assessments.

Compiling, tracking, and maintaining KPI metrics as required.

Train, develop, and coach processing employees based on performance-monitoring.

  • Demonstrate familiarity with and understanding of food processing equipment performing, machine alignments, set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle, Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed), break down, clean, and cover all electrical component to prepare for wash down.
  • Communicate and support investigation any machine-related mistakes or flaws; correct as needed.
  • Understand and comply all SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Ability to understand, read and complete all necessary paperwork, including FDA and USDA Documents
  • Operations Oversight: Supervise daily operations and manage team performance, ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
  • Production Management: Establish priorities, assign work, and define processing methods to meet production schedules.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to FDA, USDA, OSHA, and company regulations. Conduct regular inspections to maintain compliance and uphold safety standards.
  • Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely production and communicate with Operations Manager regarding facility needs.
  • Documentation and Improvement: Develop SOPs, draft capacity plans, sustain documentation, and identify process improvements.
  • Quality Assurance: Investigate quality issues, lead production processes, and achieve KPIs while maintaining product quality and safety standards.
  • Performance Monitoring nd Training: Review performance reports, monitor inventory, compile metrics, and train processing employees.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in operating food processing equipment and addressing machine-related issues.

Skills: Role Critical Experiences and Competencies

  • Bilingual -Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and verbal communication.
  • A.A. degree(in food science preferred) or4 years of work-related experience, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity and understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
  • Basic math aptitude and ability to use scales and calculators.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
