Oracle Consulting Portfolio Delivery Manager in NORTH RYDE, Australia

Job Description

Must have experience of engaging with client C Level executives through consulting professional services to own, delight, advocate, inspire and expand business with multiple existing customers to realise the Customer for Life vision of Oracle Consulting to succeed in today’s experience economy.

The Oracle Consulting ANZ Portfolio Delivery Manager will be responsible for nurturing and expanding existing relationships across our portfolio of services. The OC team services the ANZ market from multiple locations. The role will be responsible for further developing the OC ANZ Delivery portfolio and organisation and ensuring we exceed our business goals and customer expectations.

Based in Sydney, to manage teams across Australia and New Zealand, the role will drive customer delight, advocacy and expansion of Oracle Consulting services and solutions.

The right candidate will be a seasoned Portfolio Delivery Manager with experience of consulting delivery with management consulting practices, system integrators, software vendors or business partners to drive success of the team, experienced in cementing and forging relationships amongst our existing customers along with the project directors & project managers.

Scope of Role

  • Works collaboratively with Oracle Consulting’s new relationship Sales team and with the wider Oracle’s direct or channel sales teams, industries, support & business support functions to delight customers and expand ARR by identifying and solving additional business problems to achieve consulting delight, deliver profitable revenue, inspire win:win outcomes for customer and Oracle/OC leading to customer advocates and further ARR for Oracle and bookings for OC

  • Works collaboratively with other lines of business within Consulting

  • Engages in external relations with customers and partners

A day in your life at Oracle Consulting would cover:

  • Utilising your current and previous relationships to open doors with C level execs

  • Lead or take part in the account planning and strategic development for targeted accounts while fostering relationships with clients.

  • Independently and in conjunction with our Applications and Technology sales colleagues, help your team develop consulting opportunities within a defined set of accounts and prospects

  • Monitoring your success plans to ensure you team deliver consistently while building a healthy pipeline of advocates and future expansion opportunities.

  • Manage all aspects of the delivery team from recruiting, career development and performance management, talent management, coaching through client relationships and working through complex/large deals, through to close.

  • Oversee Oracle client proposal submissions, client presentations and support your team through end-to-end business solutions.

  • Help forge relationships with business partners to craft solutions as required

Detailed Job Description

As Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for the following:

Leadership & Exec Sponsorship:

  • OC Sponsor to customer Senior Mgmt stakeholders

  • Enable OC Exec Sponsor governance with customer C-level execs.

Portfolio Management:

  • Accountable for Revenue & Margin across Portfolio (including weekly forecasting & tracking to forecast)

  • Oversee project financial metrics across accounts in portfolio proactively & course-correct, as necessary

Portfolio Representation:

  • Organize & chair regular XLOB program / project progress reviews

  • Represent portfolio with all internal OC stakeholders (APAC PMO, GRM, SMT)

  • Escalation point-of-contact for Project Directors (PD) / Project Managers (PMs) to remove blockers with XLOB, Solution, Solution Sales, Offshore

Account Strategy & Execution:

  • Own Advocacy objectives & generation of references / reference assets within portfolio

  • Ensure PD/PMs prepare Account Plans for each account

  • Direct the execution of Expansion strategy by PD/PMs

  • Review Delivery Plans & ensure alignment to customer Delight

  • All GREEN projects

Capacity Management:

  • Hire PD/PMs, working closely with Sales, based on forecasted opportunities; engage with Talent Advisors/Recruitment & SubK agencies to hire the best.

Project Allocation & Utilization:

  • Assign competent PD/PMs on project(s)

  • Manage PD/PMs billable utilization (forecast & actual)

Enablement & Readiness:

  • Coach & train PD/PMs on expectations & process to meet portfolio objectives

  • Enable PD/PMs on continuous learning, based on portfolio

  • Plan PD/PMs certifications & IDPs as relevant to portfolio

People Management:

  • Manage PD/PMs goals, performance & drive the right growth mindset

Opportunity Management:

  • Accountable to exceed/meet Expansion & Extension sales expectations

  • Manage opportunities on Sales Cloud for Expansion & Extension pan-portfolio

Sales Support:

  • Plug-in to Upside/Forecast deals & get introduced as Exec Sponsor on key deals

  • Support Sales with advice on Delivery Planning on deals

Process Oversight & Improvement:

  • Work closely with PMOaaS, Business Support & Operations

  • Strengthen processes with continuous improvements to help PD/PMs to better

Responsibilities

Prerequisites

12+ years of experience relevant to this position, including 8+ years of project or direct line management experience. Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles and successfully manage projects of increasing complexity. Comfortable working in a matrix management environment. Strong influencing and negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers and vendors. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the portfolio focus. Selling skills preferred. Ability to travel as needed.

Strong leadership skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Industry experience. Able to develop executive level relationships. Strong Oracle product knowledge preferred. BA/BS preferred. Experience managing staff. Willing to travel regionally. Able to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Direct and ensure the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interact internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge.
