Space Dynamics Laboratory Cost Analyst in North Logan, Utah

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is looking for a Cost Analyst to provide program financial management from proposal development through program execution. As a Research and Development (R&D) organization, SDL primarily supports programs that require the development of new and innovative technologies. Though some similarities may exist from program to program, each program is unique and requires discrete assessment of the resources needed to meet the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW) and contract. Cost Analysts work closely with Program Managers, Schedulers, and Engineering teams to identify program resources and timelines to create proposal budgets and detailed cost volumes, and to perform financial tracking, analyzing, reporting, and forecasting for awarded programs. This position provides opportunities to work in a rewarding, team-oriented environment with room for upward and lateral mobility. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications:
0 – 5 years’ experience
BS in a business-related field
General accounting skills and up-to-date computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Detail oriented and proactive
Superior organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate clearly with personnel of varying technical and professional levels
Ability to proactively integrate within various teams, taking ownership of role responsibilities while effectively collaborating with other team members in their respective roles
Flexibility with schedule to accommodate a deadline-driven workload
Must be a US citizen
Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance if necessary
