CACHE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT/ North Park Elem Art Specialist in NORTH LOGAN, Utah
Qualifications: Candidates for this position should have experience working with art materials and experience demonstrating various techniques and methods of drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpting. Applicants must be able to maintain classroom discipline in a positive creative, learning-conducive environment. Preference will be given to applicants who have taken studio art classes and have taught art lessons to children.
1. Visual art background and experience.
2. Excellent classroom management skills.
3. Excellent interpersonal relations skills.
4. Ability to implement district elementary visual arts curriculum.
Job Description: Will teach the district art curriculum to elementary school students grades K-6 including such aspects as artistic expression and creativity in the visual arts and art history. Prepare art lessons for grades K-6. Coordinate with classroom teachers to integrate core subjects while teaching that art curriculum. Attend district professional development workshops for art specialists and implement district guidelines in fulfilling teaching responsibilities. Teaching license preferred but not required.
