WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the Manager, Bulk Chemical Operations, you will manage all bulk chemical operations activities including railcar, tank truck, and isotainer loading and unloading for Safe Foods Chemical Innovations (“SFCI”). Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Adhere to all safety policies and guidelines; is accountable for personal safety and the safety of co-workers.

  • Execute emergency procedures in response to chemical incidents, inclement weather, or other situations that threaten the safety of team members and the plant site.

  • Perform duties required to comply with SQF standards.

  • Develop and maintain training materials related to your team’s tasks and ensure team members satisfactorily complete the training upon being hired as well as annual refresher training.

  • Ensure team members are fully trained on procedures/policies.

  • Own procedures associated with your team’s operations and procedural maintenance.

  • Champion bulk operation activities with your team members and schedule labor according to business needs.

  • Develop and communicate daily and weekly activity schedules to meet production and order fulfillment demands.

  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to update the status of key measures and initiatives related to your team.

  • Perform ERP (D365) system transactions related to your area in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Provide accounting with shipping and receiving information needed for financial period closings and work to reconcile physical and ERP inventories related to your area each month.

  • Conduct routine housekeeping and safety inspections and complete action items for assigned area.

  • Work with Warehouse, Production, Order Fulfillment, and Purchasing Teams to maintain desired inventories of products and raw materials.

  • Coordinate railcar movements with Production Managers and the local rail service company to meet daily and weekly production schedules.

  • Coordinate bulk product shipments with the Order Fulfillment Team to ensure product deliveries are accurate and on time and that all documentation and labeling is complete and accurate.

  • Ensure proper equipment is available for routine operations and that it is properly maintained.

  • Coordinate bulk operations equipment maintenance activities (issue instructions for preparing equipment and LOTO).

  • Identify and initiate safety, efficiency, and cost-saving changes within the department.

  • Participate in the screening, interviewing, and hiring of new bulk operations team members.

  • Perform root causes analysis on incidents in your area and provide detailed incident reports.

  • Work with the Site Director, Chemical Operations on continuous improvement and strategic initiatives.

  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

    YOUR MUST HAVES:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (“GED”).

  • 2 years of related bulk chemical operations experience.

  • Self-motivated and ability to execute with minimal direction.

  • Places high value on safety.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Proficient in ERP Systems & inventory management systems.

WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

  • 1 year of management experience.

  • Proficient in D365.

  • Active Forklift Certification.

  • Active Commercial Driver’s License (“CDL”).

The work environment is a combination of office and plant setting wherein there are potentially hazardous working conditions and life-threatening situations exist (chemicals.). May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”).
