WHAT YOU WILL DO: ?

The Facilities Specialist oversees functions required to maintain the building and grounds and works with administrative personnel to ensure proper use of building resources. The Facilities Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the maintenance of the grounds and facilities for the North Little Rock Safe Foods Chemical Innovations (“SFCI”) facility.?

  • Oversee all aspects of the exterior grounds, including but not limited to fencing, external security devices, condition of rail spur, etc., by marshalling maintenance resources when necessary to address repairs.

  • Identify appropriate contractors, develop contract(s) associated with interior and exterior grounds maintenance, ensures contracts are executed, and oversee the activities completed by contractors to ensure grounds are maintained in an appropriate manner (i.e., snow/ice removal, clean up due to weather related events, cleaning or other janitorial services, security camera maintenance and repairs).?

  • Work with other SFCI personnel and Executive Assistant to ensure the facility is ready for outside visitors and hosted events.

  • Call appropriate outside resources to address repair issues with the building (e.g. plumbing, roofing, painting, etc.), when necessary.

  • Coordinate with Maintenance Manager to use SFCI maintenance resources, when appropriate, to help with repairs, while ensuring maintenance resources are not consumed with routine building maintenance.

  • Identify appropriate contractor, develop contract, and oversee Pest control for the building?

  • Oversee SFCI key management process, by maintaining key assignment list and accepting returned keys and issuing new keys.?

  • Assist Executive Assistant with Employee/Contractor Badge management process.

  • Oversee HVAC contractor for preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and filter changes.

  • Maintains locker assignments for SFCI employees.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

YOUR MUST HAVES:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (“GED”).

  • 2 years related experience.

  • 1 year of vendor management experience.

OUR ENVIRONMENT:

Outside or inside working environment, wherein potentially hazardous working conditions (fire, chemicals, electrical sources, heights, dangerous people, etc.). Use of Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”) is required and may consist of safety glasses, hard hat, steel toed boots, etc.? Physical requirements such as bending, lifting, carrying, squatting, pushing or pulling up to 75 lbs can be expected.
