Description We are looking for a Controller to join our team in the construction industry, based in North Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is critical in leading our accounting team to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure efficient operations

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of annual, monthly, and ad hoc financial reports

• Conduct financial reconciliations regularly and ensure accuracy of financial records

• Comply with financial regulations and standards in all financial reporting

• Analyze financial statements and provide insights to support business decisions

• Manage the annual budgeting process and monitor actual performance against budget

• Conduct bank reconciliations on a monthly basis and manage bank relations

• Oversee the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

• Manage casualty insurance and maintain the general ledger

• Support leadership and ownership with accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role within the construction/contractor industry

• Demonstrated expertise in annual financial reporting, external financial reports, and financial reconciliation

• Proven ability to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with financial regulations

• Proficiency in preparing various financial reports, including monthly and annual reports, and statutory financial reports

• Experience in analyzing and preparing financial statements, including annual audited financial statements and consolidated financial statements

• Strong skills in ad hoc financial analysis and providing financial analysis as needed

• Knowledge of earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) and local taxes

• Experience in annual budget planning and management, including annual operating budget

• Proficiency in bank reconciliations, including monthly bank reconciliation, and managing bank relations

• Knowledge of casualty insurance and general ledger management

• Experience in handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), as well as payroll management

• Demonstrated ability to comply with all relevant legal and company regulations and policies

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial colleagues

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
