Salary: 42,000 - 64,301 per GTA contract

Minimum Requirements:
NYS Teaching Degree in English Language Arts
NYS Teacher Certification

Deep knowledge of the New York State Next Generation English Language Arts Learning Standards and engaging ways to teach and assess the standards in the curriculum.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction that adheres to state standards using a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students.
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where all students feel supported and challenged.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and evidence-based interventions as appropriate.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and colleagues regarding student progress and potential areas for improvement.
Stay current with best practices in English Language Arts education and professional development opportunities.
Engage in department and PLC meetings, collaborate with colleagues, and fulfill assigned teaching duties.
