Silgan Closures Manufacturing Services Manager in North East, Pennsylvania
MMARY DESCRIPTION:
Manage and responsible for coordinating and developing production schedules on a daily or weekly basis to meet goals. Take stock of inventory levels and facilitate providing necessary materials and components.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supply chain management
• Oversee Production Planner
• Forecasting
• Purchase and maintain adequate inventories of raw materials
• Manage finished goods and WIP inventories to target levels
• Review weekly production schedules to maximize efficiency
• Perform weekly resin inventories and reconcile month end inventory
• Servicing internal/external customers
• Communicate daily with supervisors regarding completions, capacity, and product availability
• Monitor work order start dates and raise awareness of any order not started on time
• Identify and coordinate resolution of material shortages or overages
AUTHORITY LEVEL (if applicable):
Scheduling/Planning Associate
EDUCATION:
Required: Associates Degree
Preferred: Bachelors Degree
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 5 years' experience managing Scheduling functions.
SKILLS:Strong written and verbal communication, leadership skills and ability, computer knowledge, excellent organizational skills.
