Job Description

Purpose:

The Parts Clean and Prep Associate will work in a high-performing and fast-paced pharmaceutical finishing operation to meet our production requirements while maintaining the utmost focus on safety and quality. This role will coordinate and manage the proper cleaning, storage and preparation of solid oral dose pharmaceutical product contact parts and tooling. This individual will contribute directly to the performance of the packaging finishing area by partnering with packaging supervision to plan and ensure that clean product contact parts are available and ready to effectively execute the production schedule across all packaging value streams and shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively assess the production schedule with leadership across all shifts to supply clean parts and effectively escalate and/or prevent any production delays.

  • Manually clean pharmaceutical product contact parts (e.g. solid oral dose filler and feeder components) and Quality Control count check slides per qualified process.

  • Load, operate, and unload the automatic parts washer. Prepare solutions for automatic parts washer and refill alcohol dispensers for all production lines.

  • Initiate and fill out equipment cleaning worksheets for pharmaceutical product contact parts in electronic batch management system (POMS).

  • Disassemble feeders and properly reassemble them after cleaning is completed.

  • Ensure clean parts are available within expiration and documented on Cleaning Tags.

  • Accurately follow directions listed in batch records, SOPs, and protocol when performing activities.

  • Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety and GMP procedures and guidelines, and facilitate a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required

  • Previous GMP production related experience preferred.

  • 1-2 years pharmaceutical experience preferred.

  • Must be able to read and understand production schedules.

  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.

  • Must be able to work overtime.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Be able to complete periods of standing or twist and lift activities during shift.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
