Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced analytical support for teams, portfolio and Long Range Plan (LRP) planning processes.

  • Facilitate and lead project teams on single-asset decision or other strategic analysis projects.

  • Apply the methods of decision analysis and other analytic best practices to structure the decision problem, analyze the data, and develop results and insights.

  • Facilitate/manage decision team meetings to effectively convey and obtain information necessary for successful completion of analyses.

  • Facilitate and contribute to the development and execution of processes, timelines, tools and templates for Plan Portfolio / LRP data collection, as well as other decision and strategic analyses.

  • Construct strategic models/dashboards to accurately reflect technical and commercial attributes of a project / asset for Plan Portfolio and LRP.

  • Utilize knowledge of Decision Analysis and Operations Research literature and attend and contribute to conferences and symposia on DA and Portfolio Analysis.

  • Discuss insights obtained with senior members of the Decision Support Group and decision team.

  • Manage complex portfolio analysis and prioritization tools and databases such as LRP data files and databases, lead portfolio and LRP data aggregation.

  • Provide advanced facilitation support for DSG-led team and management meetings (prepare meeting materials, record information gathered at meetings, and write-up minutes/action items); archive assessments, rationale, assumptions and other pertinent information.

  • Utilize latest tools and techniques in decision analysis / portfolio analysis.

  • Responsible for successful completion of modeling, analytical and facilitation assignments in timely manner.

  • Accountable for quality, flexibility, and user-friendliness of complex models, and for quality of portfolio database and tools.

  • Design complex decision analysis models to reflect technical and commercial interactions of a project / asset utilizing decision analysis techniques such as Monte Carlo and Decision Tree analyses, sensitivity analysis, waterfall, and tornado charts.

  • Responsible for large-scale data analysis involving the integration of next generation sequencing data and health or pharmacological databases.

  • Responsible for developing and executing custom computational analysis plans leveraging novel algorithms and relevant databases.

  • Responsible for successful completion of modeling, analytical and facilitation assignments utilizing modeling and database software such as PowerPoint, Excel, Enrich, Tree Plan, ThinkCell and Crystal Ball.

Qualifications

Must possess a Master’s or foreign academic equivalent in Biological Sciences, Decision Sciences, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field with at least two (2) years of related progressive experience in:

+ + managing complex portfolio analysis and prioritization tools and databases such as LRP data files and databases, lead portfolio and LRP data aggregation;

  • (ii) designing complex decision analysis models to reflect technical and commercial interactions of a project / asset utilizing decision analysis techniques such as Monte Carlo and Decision Tree analyses, sensitivity analysis, waterfall, and tornado charts; and

  • (iii) completion of modeling, analytical and facilitation assignments utilizing modeling and database software such as PowerPoint, Excel, Enrich, Tree Plan, ThinkCell and Crystal Ball.
