Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to join our team on the 2nd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a Punch Press Machine, communicating effectively with production leads, inspecting production parts, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You will work closely with Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety employees to ensure compliance with all operational and regulatory standards. The ability to read blueprints is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate a Punch Press Machine.

• Communicate with production leads.

• Inspect production parts for quality.

• Maintain work area and ensure a clean, safe work environment.

• Work with Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety employees to ensure compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards.

• Be aware of and comply with environmental and safety policies and regulations.

• Ensure duties are performed to high-quality standards.

Essential Skills

• Experience in machine operating.

• Proficiency with tools.

• Experience with CNC machines, press machines, and brake press.

• Knowledge of laser operation and sheet metal.

• Ability to read a tape measure.

• Experience with machine setup, calipers, and inspection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Saw or punch press operating experience is preferred.

• Ability to read blueprints is a plus.

• Willingness to train on the 1st shift.

• Experience in quality control and machining.

Work Environment

This position is for the 2nd shift, from 3:30 pm to 12 am, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of 8 hours of overtime per week. You will be working in a fabrication shop environment that is non-climate controlled.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.
