Aerotek Machine Operator in North Charleston, South Carolina

Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Machine Operator on 1st or 2nd shift! In this role, you will be required to set up and operate a various types of press and cutting machinery. Your duties will include communicating with production leads, inspecting production parts, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. You will also work closely with Quality, Environmental, and H&S employees to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality. Please note that the ability to read blueprints is a plus for this role.

  • Operating various types of production/fabrication machines

  • Must be able to read a tape measure to the 16 th (will be tested on this during interview)

  • Loading and unloaded parts into and from machine

  • Setup and operate different types of fabrication/production machinery (they are willing to train if you don’t have the exact set up experience)

  • Operate manual saws to cut materials

  • Communicate with production leads

  • Inspect production parts

  • Willingness to be cross trained on multiple machines (press brake machines, PEM machines, CNC machinery, plasma cutters and laser)
