SAIC is looking for a Electronics Technician Maintenance to support both existing and new programs. This position will be located in North Charleston, SC.

Job Duties:

• Apply technical knowledge of electronics components.

• Practical knowledge of Quality Control and computer science.

• Create technical work instructions for new and existing equipment across multiple programs.

• Skills in restoring equipment operation, evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.

• Review existing process risks, and implement process improvements with the goal to exceed performance objectives and reduce costs and schedule.

• Some practical knowledge of science or engineering. Candidate will repair, troubleshoot, modify and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication); personal and main frame computers and terminals.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High school education or equivalent (GED) and five (5) years related experience

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Required Security Clearance:

• The ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000, Department of Defense (DoD) and industry documentation standards for Engineering and Design.

• Strong technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.

• Candidate must have the ability to operate effectively in a team environment and able to receive direction, and take constructive criticism.

Desired Certifications:

• CompTia A SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
