Akima Middleware Administrator in North Bethesda, Maryland

Systems Intelligence is looking for a Middleware Administrator to work in North Bethesda, MD. Candidates will provide Application Administration for a variety of systems with an emphasis on Oracle-based middleware systems. Candidates will perform installation, configuration changes and maintenance on Oracle Middleware Systems as well as other enterprise level application servers. Candidates will also manage the day-to-day work and scheduling of the middleware team through ServiceNow portal, front end interaction with business clients and client advocates. Responsibilities

  • Installation, configuration and patching of Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle JDK

  • Installation, configuration and patching of Apache Web Server, Apache Tomcat, Jboss, IIS, other middleware services

  • Installation and configuration of Oracle Rest Data Services (ORDS), Oracle Application Express (APEX)

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Single Sign-On (SSO) systems (Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle Unified Directory, LDAP)

  • Installation, configuration, and Administration Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manger (OEM)

  • Experience with Linux based operating Systems (RedHat Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux)

  • Plans and implements middleware upgrades and patches to stay current and on supported patch sets and versions

  • Provides routine application redeployment and deployment services to all FDA centers

  • Performs on-demand application restarts and provide system logs when requested

  • Utilizes automation tools, scripting for increased efficiency and accuracy while perform routine installations, patch updates, restarts and configuration changes

  • Participates in troubleshooting sessions with application developers, other system administrators to fix ongoing issues and minimize downtime of high priority systems

  • Works with and assist various application teams to generate documents and maintain administrations manuals for application configuration and deployments in all environments

  • Provides initial deployment services, including all initial planning and architecture, installation and configuration tasks

  • Creates and guides application teams with RFC, Load Balancer Farm request, and Firewall rule requests for all pre-production and production environments

  • Evaluates and assigns work based on requirements and skill level of team through ServiceNow interface

  • Participates and/or leads troubleshooting and tuning sessions with development teams, end users and any other required teams

  • Interfaces with clients, attends meetings with the customer on various application issues and plans activities and provides recommendations and solutions

Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)

  • Experience with ServiceNow

  • Experience with Oracle Rest Data Services (ORDS), Oracle Application Express (APEX)

  • The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or a green card holder

  • Be able to obtain Public Trust clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO) systems (Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Internet Directory, LDAP) is a huge plus

Pay Range

$145,000 to $170,000
