WorkSource Oregon Wastewater Operator II in North Bend, Oregon
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: Helps to operate, maintain, and monitor process, equipment, and facilities of an activated sludge plant with ten pumping stations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reads meters & calculates pumping rates Computer data entry Cleans equipment of obstructions Hoses down structures for control of odors Makes operational changes from data produced by process lab and personal observations Checks equipment for proper operation Lift stations Reads meters & calculates pumping times Cleans stations as needed Checks equipment for proper operation & performs preventative maintenance functions. Maintenance Performs routine preventative maintenance Lubricates equipment Makes minor repairs on equipment Laboratory Do minor process testing for operations Back up lab testing in absence of lab tech Sludge disposal Cleaning & preparing sludge beds Operations of sludge dredge in pond Sludge disposal via sludge truck. Grounds & Building maintenance Maintains lawns & landscaping Helps maintain exterior of buildings Control of weeds & brush Pretreatment Program Performing routine inspections of commercial users Preparation for inspection Training and updating on current information EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & EXPERIENCE: The education and experience requirements listed are minimum standards. Other equivalent combinations of education, certifications, training, and experience may be considered. \' Possess an Oregon Wastewater Operations Certification II. \' Possession of an Oregon Wastewater Operators Certification III desirable. \' Possess a valid Oregon Drivers License \' 5 years experience or qualified education in an activated sludge plant with experience in the lab, operations, or maintenance.
