Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in North Andover, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be essential to our team, performing crucial tasks such as month-end close procedures, balance sheet reconciliations, operational accounting, and process improvement within our technology industry setting.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting month-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date

• Performing balance sheet reconciliations to verify the accuracy of our financial records

• Handling operational accounting tasks to maintain the financial health of our organization

• Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency within our accounting department

• Utilizing software systems such as Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to manage and analyze financial data

• Preparing and posting journal entries to keep our general ledger current and accurate

• Performing account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

• Conducting bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accounted for

• Collaborating with other team members to support overall department goals and objectives

• Using your skills in analysis and problem-solving to address any issues or discrepancies that arise in financial data. Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Experience with general ledger tasks and journal entries.

• Solid understanding of month-end close procedures.

• Expertise in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

• CPA certification or progress towards it is preferred.

• Proven track record in a similar senior accounting role.
