DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Psychological Services Specialist, you will function with considerable independence to provide psychological services to an identified caseload of the individuals who reside at the facility. In this role, you will function as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and as a member of facility and statewide work groups as assigned. You will be responsible for providing direct service care to patients on assigned units providing the highest quality of treatment and therapeutic opportunities to enhance the clients' quality of life based on the needs of their individual recovery. In addition, you will work to resolve any routine obstacles directly. If the issues are of a larger impact and outside of your scope, the issues are addressed by the psychology director or supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment (37.5 hours a week) Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation.
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
