Our work depends on a Windows Field Technician MECK to provide technical support services for the various Mobile Expeditionary Communications Kit (MECK) capabilities onboard Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships in Norfolk, VA.

HOW OUR WINDOWS FIELD TECHNICIAN WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

In this position you will provide technical support services for the various Mobile Expeditionary Communications Kit (MECK) capabilities onboard Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships.

  • Perform day to day monitoring, testing, and Tier 1-2 maintenance actions for Windows 10 laptops and associated printers by installing updates, conducting routine health checks, and troubleshooting/resolving technical issues

  • Ensure IA compliance by patching, scanning, and providing scans regularly

  • Work with a dedicated MECK support team to ensure operability and compliance/accreditation for all associated equipment

  • Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), drawings, and system documentation

  • Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (required):

  • Security Clearance Level: Secret clearance (Interim Secret acceptable)

  • Required Experience: 5+ years

  • Required Certifications: Security + CE certification

  • Education: High School diploma

  • Required Technical Skills: experience with Windows systems administration, software and hardware troubleshooting and end-user support. Windows OS training.

  • Location: Onsite in Norfolk, VA

  • US Citizenship Required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.29 - $32.43. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
