Summary You will serve as a Technician in the CVN Integration Branch, Availability Integration Division, Modernization and Installation Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION. located in Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities You will serve as the Combat Systems Test Director (CSTD) team lead for Aircraft Carriers during In-Service and New Construction availabilities. You will be responsible for the execution and coordination of interface and operability testing to characterize overall combat, weapons, and C4I systems before and throughout ship's phase maintenance availability. You will liaison between Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS), waterfront representatives, Regional Maintenance Centers (RMC), ships force, Commander Naval Air Forces (CNAF), and the technical community. You will participate in production meetings to identify when modernization work cannot be completed by scheduled or key event completion date and provide recommendations for appropriate corrective actions to support required completion. You will serve as Combat System Subject Matter Expert (SME) leading all efforts to resolve combat system interoperability issues. You will track discrepancies by equipment and provide details of ongoing troubleshooting efforts, part availability, and impact towards combat systems integration testing and maintenance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical engineering support services to plan or coordinate the maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and evaluation of ship combat and weapons systems for a warfare program.
