Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the healthcare industry, located in Norfolk, Virginia. As a key member of our team, you will be tasked with handling individual and corporate billing, working extensively with QuickBooks and Excel, posting journal entries, and reconciling customer accounts. This role is integral to maintaining the smooth operation and financial integrity of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Handle individual and corporate billing processes

• Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for financial management and reporting

• Post and adjust journal entries as required

• Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy

• Participate in non-patient billing activities

• Conduct account reconciliation and bank reconciliations

• Maintain and update the general ledger

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial tracking

• Leverage QuickBooks for accounting tasks and financial management Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is necessary.

• Experience with bank reconciliations is required.

• The candidate must be well-versed in managing general ledger activities.

• The role requires the ability to prepare and record journal entries accurately.

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel is crucial for data management and reporting.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks for accounting functions is essential.

• Candidate must have a strong understanding of healthcare/NHS industry financial regulations and standards.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for team collaboration and reporting.

• The candidate must possess strong analytical skills to handle complex financial data.

• The ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines is crucial in this role.

• Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications are a plus.

• Knowledge of current financial software and tools is required.

• The candidate should demonstrate a high level of integrity and uphold all confidential information.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary to ensure accuracy in work.

• The candidate must be capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
