Amentum Senior Systems Engineer in Norfolk, Virginia

Amentum is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work on the Submarine Integration and Test Support System (SIATSS) Network in support of our Portsmouth, VA Location.

What you’ll do:

  • Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting company business processes and operations.

  • Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software.

  • Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems.

  • Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems.

  • Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice/wire systems.

  • May contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set.

  • May provide training and assistance with proposal writing.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have an Active Secret US Government clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret clearance.

  • 12+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree; 8+ years relevant experience with Master’s degree or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with DoD Networks is a plus.
