Our client, a consulting engineering firm, is a privately held company that was started in 1968. They specialize in providing design and engineering services for all aspects of building and utility infrastructure construction, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC. They are hiring for their Norfolk office located in the downtown district in Norfolk, VA. They are an innovative engineering firm specializing in a wide variety of projects. Description:
The Mechanical Designer/Engineer is responsible for tasks including:
Assist mechanical engineers with the design of electrical, lighting and fire alarm systems.
Prepare mechanical designs as required and as necessary to meet client schedules.
Drafting of mechanical system designs.
Attend project meetings.
Provide construction administration services, as required.
Provide correspondence with clients for coordination and requests for information.
Perform field surveys of existing facilities.
Periodic business travel required to fulfill project requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR Architectural Engineering with an Mechanical Engineering concentration.
3-5+ years of design experience ( senior level positions also available).
Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office software.
EIT required. Professional Engineering license for senior position.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $105000.00/hr.
