We are s seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Marine Repair Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing competitive quotes for maritime ship repair projects. This role involves utilizing estimating software, analyzing project specifications, determining work procedures, and managing procurement activities. The position requires travel of 10-20% to various project sites. If you have strong estimating skills and at least 5 years of relevant experience, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

Prepare Competitive Quotes: Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for maritime ship repair projects, ensuring all labor, material, and overhead costs are accounted for to provide competitive bids.

Utilize Estimating Software: Employ industry-standard estimating software to generate precise project bids, analyze project specifications and drawings, and determine the full scope of work required, including materials, labor, and timeframes.

· Conduct Ship-Checks and Site-Checks: Perform thorough on-site inspections of vessels and project sites to assess the scope of work, identify potential challenges, and gather the necessary information to create accurate Bill of Material (BOM) quotes in a timely manner

· Determine Work Procedures and Requirements: Analyze project needs to define efficient work procedures, determine optimal crew sizes, and identify the tools, materials, and subcontractors required to complete the project at a competitive cost while maintaining quality standards.

Negotiate with Suppliers and Subcontractors: Engage in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best possible pricing for materials and services while maintaining strong working relationships.

Maintain and Update Contract Pipeline: Collaborate with the Management Team to regularly update the contract pipeline and ensure that projects adhere to budgetary constraints and timelines.
