Job Title: Marine Boilermaker

Location: Norfolk, VA

Pay: $20 - $30 per hour (Negotiable)

We’re looking for a seasoned pro with at least 8 years of experience who knows their way around blueprints, pressure vessels, and safety protocols like the back of their hand. If you thrive on challenges, love the sound of clanging metal, and take pride in precision, we want you on our team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Inspect & Repair: Test boiler systems for leaks or defects and get hands-on with repairing valves and pressure vessels using the latest tools and techniques.

• Master the Blueprint: Use blueprints, sketches, and technical manuals to bring precision to every installation and repair.

• Operate with Fire: Handle gas torches like a pro to cut, shape, and fuse metal parts.

• Clean & Maintain: Keep boilers and furnaces spotless with thorough cleaning, scrapers, brushes, and solvents.

• Build & Install: Fit components like manholes, valves, tubes, and gauges into boiler systems, ensuring every piece fits perfectly.

• Brick by Brick: Install refractory brick and mortar in fireboxes with meticulous precision, ensuring stability and long-lasting performance.

• Safety First: Adhere to strict safety standards, wear all necessary PPE, and be fit for a respirator when required.

• Climb, Crawl, Conquer: Be prepared to climb ladders, access tight spaces, and work in various weather conditions—all in a day’s work!

What You Bring to the Table:

• Experience: 8+ years of hands-on work with boilers, heat exchangers, and valve repairs.

• Skills: Proficiency with blueprints, technical drawings, gas torch operations, and refractory brick and mortar installation.

• Physical Stamina: Ready to handle the physical demands of climbing, lifting, and confined spaces.

• Credentials: Ability to pass a drug screen and secure DBIDS/TWIC credentials.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
