Job Description
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and order in the university center by performing a variety of cleaning tasks and meeting room set-ups. Strive to achieve perfection in supporting student activities and programs, meetings, and special events. Provide high level customer service and uphold Webb Center staff’s work values

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Working knowledge of institutional cleaning procedures and housekeeping techniques, cleaning equipment, and special event set-up. Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to read and write the English language and to understand and follow oral instructions. Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Demonstrated ability to lift furniture, tables, stages and equipment weighing 15 to 100 lbs. several times per shift. Demonstrated ability to train and supervise staff in proper cleaning methods and cleaning equipment usage.

Level and type of experience
Basic experience in the use and application of chemicals such as germicides, disinfectants and caustic solutions. Some experience in housekeeping and floor tech skills, working in a large office, school, or institutional setting.
Additional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification)
Considerable experience as a housekeeping worker at the Crew Leader level. Some previous custodial experience in a large office, school or institutional setting.
Conditions of Employment
Employee is considered essential personnel which requires them to work during inclement weather and certain other dates during the year when the university is closed.
Employee will work Wednesday – Sunday, 1:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
