GS-07: 49,713 - 64,628 GS-06: 44,736 - 58,159 Responsibilities You will be responsible for oversight of numerous Navy Reserve Operating Targets (OPTARs) which are located at various locations throughout the Continental United States. You will support work requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies, and procedures to examine, verify and maintain and reconcile accounts, accounting data, prepare and analyze reports. You will answer requests and provide advice to employees, supervisors, staff in other financial management series and personnel specialists on pay related rules, regulations, and procedures. You will be required to ensure proper and accurate reporting and correct accounting data. You will utilize the Fund Administration and Standard Document Automation (FASTDATA) records systems which interfaces with STARS-FL. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience entering financial data into financial and accounting systems and with operating double entry accounting systems; *Experience examining and verifying reconciled accounts; *Experience applying administrative regulations and procedures required to examine invoices, voucher, and related documents; *Experience determining pay, maintaining payroll records, completing financial reports, answering pay inquiries, processing pay adjustments and providing advice to employees on pay related rules, regulations and procedures. GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience entering financial data into financial and accounting systems; *Experience entering and extracting data from records; *Experience examining documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, and compliance with regulations; *Experience working with figures and making and verifying arithmetical computations. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Overtime work may be required.
