Eagle Harbor, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC a Federal Contracting industry leader is looking for a Doctrine/Tech Writer to help support the our government client in Norfolk, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • The Contractor will provide support for developing, editing and maintaining Force Deployment Planning and Execution manuals and training materials as necessary.

  • The Contractor will provide support for monitoring other DOD Transportation publications (such as the DTR) and publications and ensure updated information is included in Coast Guard publications.

  • The Contractor will support Joint Staff Action Process (JSAP) reviews and manage access to the USCG Task Management System.

Requirements:

  • US Citizen

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Minimum of ten years relevant experience FDP&E or mobility planning and execution (or ten years of full-time hands on experience with DoD military services or the US Coast Guard)

  • Knowledgeable of the DTR, CJCS publications and JPs (or knowledgeable of the DTR and other mobility and FDP&E publications)

  • Minimum of two years full time hands-on experience in doctrine and technical writing

  • Knowledgeable of mobility and force deployment AIS including but are not limited to, JOPES, aRFID, JFAST, GATES, ICODES, IGC, SSDM, SMS, SAAMs, SRS, and other necessary programs required to support the strategic movement of cargo and personnel

  • Knowledgeable in preparing ICODES aircraft load plans and preparing and certifying hazardous material for shipment by all modes of transportation e.g., air, land and sea.

  • Understand how the overall JOPES, GFM process works and how their products inform USCG force planning in support of DOD operations

  • Strong MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, & Visio) skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
