Cardinal Health Sr. Assistant, Site Administration in Norfolk, Nebraska

Summary of Position

The Sr. Assistant, Site Administration is responsible for leading employee engagement groups, managing the on-boarding process, and organizing employee development opportunities. The position will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks in support of operations.

Working hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM CST

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of general administration tasks

  • Lead and facilitate employee engagement groups (promote work/life balance, philanthropic and wellness activities) – create and monitor budget, plan and organize employee events

  • Organize orientation activities and 90 day on-boarding process for all new hires

  • Partake in the Training Council – discuss training opportunities with site management team and seek out development opportunities

  • Build and maintain relationships within the community

  • Assist cross functional groups with interviews, career fair preparation, recruiting efforts, team building activities, employee recognition and other projects as needed

  • Provide HR support in terms of monitoring Organizational Health Surveys and Action Plans, leading the Retention Committee, facilitating skip level meetings, maintaining and updating HR files, submitting site AAP information, and driving employee recognition utilizing the Bravo program

  • Comply with statutory responsibility under the national/federal regulations - take reasonable care of your own health, safety and welfare along with teammates that may be affected by your acts at work

  • Follow established EH&S procedures and policies and encourage teammates to follow them. Observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed

  • Participate in EH&S activities such as: root cause analysis, finding solutions, implementing improvements, inspections, and meetings

  • Complete and remain up to date on required EH&S training

  • Follow all ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA and plant/corporate standards, policies, and procedures

  • Report all safety incidents, hazards, and potential unsafe working conditions

  • Work overtime as required

  • Occasionally required to enter the manufacturing environment – hair net, beard net, safety glasses and hearing protection are required

  • Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in related field preferred

  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred

  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential information would be an asset

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills would be an asset - Comfortable leading and/or training cross-functional groups. Able to give presentations in front of large groups of employees

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs preferred - able to create presentations using Power Point. Able to create and maintain Excel spreadsheets

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize to meet deadlines

  • Attentive to detail

  • Team player – ability to work independently and with a team to accomplish goals

Anticipated hourly range: $21.20 per hour - $35.03 per hour
