Your new field of activity – challenging and future-oriented
As Global Head of Accounting (m/f/d) you are responsible for the following activities:
Ensuring accurate and timely actual financial statements of the individual SL companies
Securing compliance with the Siemens IFRS Accounting Principles for Siemens Logistics globally and HGB principles for the German entities
Defining and monitoring a standardized SL-specific interpretation of the Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines (e.g. revenue recognition, project accounting)
Training and informing the global Commercial Project Manager (CPM) community regarding accounting topics according to IFRS (innovations, updates, refreshers, etc.)
Defining, implementing, monitoring, and further developing global standardized accounting processes within Siemens Logistics for the processes Purchase to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), Record to Report (R2R), and Master Data (MD) including coordination with IT
Global monitoring of management judgements, subsequent events, quarterly Siemens internal certification, etc.
Ensuring compliance with transfer pricing principles (TP) for cross-border transactions in cooperation with CF T (central Siemens tax department), including the preparation of the annual transfer pricing documentation for Siemens Logistics
Compliance with tax principles in close cooperation with the local tax advisor (income and sales tax) including permanent establishment accounting for the German entities
Direct contact for the Siemens Logistics executive board and close cooperation with Controlling, Treasury, People & Organization, Procurement, Legal and IT
Central contact for coordination with Siemens Corporate (Accounting, Tax and Shareholder Controlling)
Contact person for the auditor of the German entities
Steering and monitoring the global accounting service provider
Leading expert teams (IFRS / HGB Governance, Accounting Processes, Financial Statement Preparation) and coordinating the local Heads of Accounting in the different countries
Your qualifications – solid and adequate
You have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of work experience in auditing or in an accounting policy department of an industrial company
You have at least 3 years of experience in leading multidisciplinary and multinational team
You have a successful university degree with focus on Accounting or Finance
You possess excellent theoretical and practical experience according to IFRS (especially IFRS 15) and HGB
Qualification as an auditor and/or tax consultant is preferable
You have in-depth knowledge of transfer pricing principles and solid foundations in German value added tax
You are characterized by a structured working style
You have a high degree of personal responsibility, ownership, initiative, proactivity, independence and teamwork
You have strong analytical skills, assertiveness and resilience
You are fluent in German and English, both verbally and in writing
