Goodwill of North Georgia Facilities Supervisor in Norcross, Georgia

Job Summary: (Purpose of the Position)

Plan, organize and control the agency’s responsibility at a facility less than 100,000 sq. ft. while ensuring that the department’s quality standards are adhered to by all staff assigned .

Essential Functions:

  • Manage staff to meet all company standards.

  • Coordinate with management to resolve changes in schedules, cleaning requirements and special events and/or services.

  • Interpret policies and procedures and ensures compliance with set standards of safety and security.

  • Responsible for staffing potential candidates

  • Maintain clean and healthy buildings, workspace, and break room areas.

  • Requisition supplies and equipment. Ensure equipment is maintained in a clean and safe condition.

  • Responsible for supervising, training, motivating, and evaluating staff to reach Goodwill’s operational goals.

  • Schedule and assign staff to specific tasks associated with their job responsibilities.

  • Ability to perform Minor Maintenance task ,such as painting, caulking, changing light bulbs and minor plumbing.

  • Conduct monthly meetings with all employees. Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met.

  • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are resolved within the time allotted.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Three to five (3-5) years experience in facilities maintenance.

  • Basic Maintenance knowledge and skills to perform minor maintenance task.

  • Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills. Must have attention to detail.

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of industry standards, procedures and safety requirements.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Working Environment Conditions/Requirements: (Special Information such as physical requirements, travel requirements, on-call schedules…)

  • Available to be on-call 24 hours for all building and equipment emergencies.

  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform the duties of the position including the ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time as well as the ability to push, pull and lift up to 30lbs with or without accommodation.
