PruittHealth Assistant Administrator - Home First in NORCROSS, Georgia

JOB PURPOSE:

The Assistant Administrator will assist Administrator with oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Home First office. They will assist in administering the programs and implement the policies and procedures approved by the Executive Leadership team, regional team, and Department of Community Health with oversight by the Administrator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assists the Administrator with organizing and directing the agency’s ongoing functions.

  2. Assists the Administrator in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures to establish a positive employer – partner relationship and promote a high level of partner morale.

  3. Tracks in-service hours earned through Pruitt University and ensures all partners meet annual requirements.

  4. Develops and maintains personnel records on all staff members to ensure all partners meet annual requirements.

  5. Assists the Administrator in developing and supervising the quality assurance program of the agency.

  6. Assists the Administrator in developing and implementing the budget and monthly financial submissions.

  7. Must possess and demonstrate a high degree of communication, leadership, and organizational skill.

  8. Must participate in on-the-job training under the supervision of the Administrator.

  9. Maintains confidentiality of company information.

  10. Demonstrates honesty and integrity at all times.

  11. Able to respond to change productively and handle additional projects as assigned.

  12. Other duties as assigned by the Administrator.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Attend and participate in mandatory in-services.

• Honor patients/residents’ rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints.

• Comply with corporate compliance program.

• Report job-related functions/tasks that involve occupational hazards including exposure to blood and body fluids and others as necessary.

• Follow established safety regulations, to include fire protection & prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc.

• Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.

• Documents all services and interactions in the medical record.

• Thorough knowledge of PeopleSoft HR software.

• Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.

• Keeps supervisor informed of daily activities, and issues. Proposes solutions to all issues.

• Performs other duties as assigned by Patient Care Coordinator.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Two (2) years of college or business school and/or equivalent combination of experience and training.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

As a minimum, two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, elderly and disabled wavier program or long-term care Nursing Center. Should possess a working knowledge of long-term

care operational standards set forth in the Federal Register, Requirements of Participation. Must have a commitment to and understanding of the Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

A degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or comparable field is preferred but not required.
