We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with a solid background in Azure Function Apps and Microservices architecture, Apache Kafka, and Spring Boot. The candidate should have a proven track record of building scalable, efficient, and reliable cloud-based applications using Java, Azure technologies, Kafka for real-time data streaming, and Spring boot for rapid application development. Candidate will play critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and stability of our software applications. Also contributing to the continuous improvement of our production support processes and designing, developing, and maintaining microservices-based applications that leverage Azure Function Apps and Kafka.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy Java-based applications using Azure Function Apps, Microservices architecture, Kafka, and Spring Boot

• Collaborate with cross-functional team to define, design, and ship new features

• Analyze system logs, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement in application stability and performance, specifically related to Java Spring Boot and microservices

• Write efficient, testable, and reusable code

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

• Implement security and data protection measures

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems

• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge

• Work on integration of various azure services to support Microservices architecture and real-time data streaming with Kafka

• Participate in incident management processes, including root cause analysis, incident response, and post-mortem reviews for Java Spring Boot and microservice-related incidents

• Identify opportunities for automation and implement tools and scripts to streamline production support tasks related to Java Spring Boot and microservices

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, helping them develop technical skills and troubleshoot complex issues related to Java Spring Boot and microservices effectively

• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of relevant IT experience (Agile, Production Support)

• Hands-on software development experience with Java(>=Jdk11)

• Solid experience with Azure Function Apps and serverless architecture

• Solid experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming

• Experience working in a production support role

• Extensive experience with Microservices architecture

• Experience with cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure

• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with monitoring and log analysis tools, App-Insight, Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana

• Knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Cosmos DB

• Knowledge of incident management and Change management processes and tools, such ServiceNow

• Proficiency in Java and Java EE technologies

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns

• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment(CI/CD) practices and tools such as Azure DevOps

• Proven solid communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment

• Proven excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure

• Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

• Flexible to work for extended hours and on weekends as needed to handle high priority issues

• Willingness to work as On-Call and rotational shifts to provide round-the-clock support coverage
