Our GTA Strategic Talent Sourcers (TS) focus on identifying, mapping, approaching, attracting and assessing talent. They work closely with the recruiters and TS consultants to research the markets and build relationships with external talent to achieve pivotal, niche, diversity and senior hiring needs. They proactively map organizations and markets to identify the best talents, build innovative and market leading candidate sourcing solutions to attract them to Microsoft. They also provide quality, customized and diverse long-lists and shortlists for open roles and pipelines / projects and drive exceptional candidate experience from initial contact to offer ensuring robust communication at each stage. This role will be focused on supporting the hiring for roles in the Go-To-Market (GTM) and Consulting org.
Responsibilities
Elicits interest in active and potential candidates by telling the business story, and contributes to the development of new stories. Generates awareness through community outreach events and strategic networking.
Shares best practices on sourcing, recruiting, and/or closing techniques and stories with their own team. Tracks candidate activity and shares with internal stakeholders.
Coaches the client to represent Microsoft’s unique career possibilities, advantages, and rewards that are distinct from those of competitors.
Uses an understanding of talent markets and complex candidate profiles, as well as growing relationships with new talent pools and communities with future potential, to identify and engage candidates for immediate and future talent needs.
Develops strategies to generate differentiated talent in emerging roles or highly competitive talent pools to meet long-term business needs (e.g., industry, technical recruiting).
Executes initial screening and assessing of candidates. Qualifies talent pool by assessing relevant factors such as ability to hire, relocation considerations, immigration, and compensation.
Synthesizes, analyzes, and interprets external market data, and provides market and channel insights to the business to inform hiring plans and implement talent acquisition initiatives. Develops sourcing strategy using market and channel insights.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of talent acquisition experience including hands-on recruiting, sourcing, research and skilled in sourcing/search tools (LinkedIn, Boolean search, local sourcing channels).
OR Bachelor's Degree AND 3+ years of talent acquisition experience including hands-on recruiting, sourcing, research and skilled in sourcing/search tools (LinkedIn, Boolean search, local sourcing channels).
Experience working inhouse in a recruiting/talent sourcing role that is focused on supporting functions like Sales, Go-To-Market (GTM) and/or Consulting.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Preferably 8+ years of relevant experience, and with exposure to Engineering or Technical Recruitment is a plus.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to serve as talent advisors by influencing, presenting and engaging with senior leaders.
A data-driven approach to Talent Sourcing, using insights and competitor analysis to support business on their hiring decision.
Knowledgeable in Talent Pipelines; a proactive talent supply strategy in anticipation of filling critical and recurrent positions.
