Product Innovation Manager - Employer User Experience

The Product Innovation Manager - Employer User Experience will lead and shape the user experience strategy for our Benefits Administration and HRO/Payroll platforms, focusing on delivering a seamless, intuitive, and engaging experience for our employer clients. The role demands a blend of UX expertise, product management acumen, and leadership skills to drive the evolution of our platform and ensure it meets the needs of our clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead UX initiatives across the Benefits Administration platform, ensuring a cohesive and engaging experience for all users.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and client teams to align UX strategies with product and customer goals.

  • Develop and implement UX best practices, design guidelines, and standards for the platform.

  • Conduct and oversee user research, usability testing, and other methods to gather insights and validate UX designs.

  • Guide the development of wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design ideas effectively.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the platform remains competitive and user-friendly.

  • Support marketing and client-facing teams by providing UX insights, prototypes and demos, ensuring consistent messaging about the platform’s user experience.

  • Collaborate with product managers to define UX requirements and prioritize enhancements that improve user satisfaction.

  • Work with engineering teams to ensure that UX designs are implemented as intended and meet technical specifications.

  • Support client growth initiatives by enhancing the UX to meet evolving customer needs and expectations.

  • Assist in responding to RFPs and crafting requirements that highlight the platform’s user experience capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of experience in UX design or customer experience development on web and mobile applications.

  • Proven experience in leading customer experience design for complex platforms, ideally within the Benefits Administration, Retirement solutions, HRO/Payroll or related industries.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX design, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and experience working in cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with UX tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, and usability testing platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Benefits Administration platforms or HR technology products.

  • Knowledge of front-end development languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to bridge the gap between design and implementation.

  • Certification in UX design or product management.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead UX design initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes.
