Join Optum Bank’s mission of becoming the bank of health care that addresses the spending, borrowing, and saving needs of millions of consumers, employers, providers, and payers. This role in focused on bank technology and is crucial to growth in the banking and health care sector.

Primary Responsibility:

• Lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary global engineering team of 20+ engineersDrive thought leadership and stay current on technology trendsTeam financial delivery, ensuring on budget delivery with cost-effective global resourcing approachesOversee the migration from monolithic systems to a microservices-based architectureInteract with stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations

Required Qualifications:

• 13+ years of progressive product engineering leadership experience

• 7+ years hands on experience in Distributed Systems development (Cloud, web, cloud, etc.)

• 7+ years of experience with microservices architecture

• 5+ years of experience in cloud native solutioning, data messaging/streaming (Kafka), containerization and its orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), NoSQL

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a large matrix organization

• Experience with creating presentations for executive audience with the ability to translate and communicate complex Business, IT and operational challenges into perspectives that are understandable, impactful and actionable for leaders

• Financial Services industry experience
