India operations of UHG are aligned to Optum. Omni Channel & Strategic initiative analytics team is responsible for driving analytical solutions and research to help transform UHC and Optum ‘s solutions across Customer Engagement and improving Experience using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data and Cloud Processing.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with a lead-data scientist and help improve business processes leveraging data science tools & techniques
Understand business requirements and convert into analytical solution
Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
Develop data science algorithms & generate actionable insights as per business needs and work closely with cross capability teams throughout solution development lifecycle from design to implementation & monitoring
Manage day to day leadership and stakeholder communication including development plan
Document work appropriately for production support and transition readiness
Acquire & enhance understanding of US Healthcare domain

Required Qualifications:
B.tech and/or MS in computer science or equivalent
12+ months hands-on experience of solving real world business problems leveraging data science tools
Experience building NLP models and training data sets
Working experience of NLP skills (like Text Classification/ Summarization/Entity Recognition/Natural Language Generation / Transfer Learning Concepts etc.)
Sound knowledge of Text [Unstructured data] data handling & manipulation
Programming: knows R/Python with PYTORCH/TensorFlow, Knows how to leverage pre trained models (Via Transfer Learning)
Proficient in MS Office tools as Excel/PowerPoint/Access
Proven excellent written and oral communication skills
Proven excellent problem-solving & story-telling abilities with analytical mindset
Proven excellent interpersonal and team skills
Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating good level of maturity
Preferred Qualification:
- Understanding & experience of SparkNLP framework
