Job Title: IT Application Management/Digital Strategy Summer Internship 2025

Summary:In this role, you will be participating in and be responsible for the advancement of the Global IT Application Management processes including the relationship with and actions / milestones generated from the Momentive Digital Strategy. The position will allow you to have exposure to world class IT enterprise systems including SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Platforms, Tableau and numerous other environments and see firsthand the aspects with overall IT management of large application teams.

You will work directly with the Director of IT Business Systems and have interaction with many Sr. Managers within IT. In addition, based on specific tasks/projects, you will have the opportunity to interact with our business counterparts and leaders throughout the global organization.

This is a 10-12 week internship program and you report to Momentive’s Information Technology function and is aligned directly to the Director of IT Business Systems.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Expand, launch and communicate a global Application Management Life Cycle process for Global Momentive IT Systems.

  • Work with IT leaders to identify, document, and gather information related to all IT systems

  • Gather and correlate all system information, training, status, etc. analyzing the particular life cycle stage for each application

  • Using IT tools such as Service Now and Tableau build a monitoring and reporting dashboard on application status including alerting and related reporting.

  • Work with and understand Momentive’s Project Management process to ensure all aspects related to Application Management are included and properly tracked during project life cycles.

  • Research and collaborate with appropriate teams to understand Information and Cyber Security checkpoints that should be confirmed for all Applications

  • Work with and understand Momentive’s Digital Strategy to assist in the future planning of the Momentive Application Portfolio, including understanding key efforts and how they interact, enhance, overlap, or replace existing Applications.

  • Participate in, assist with, and lead other IT development requests (focused on Tableau Reporting, Microsoft Power Apps, and SharePoint technologies).

  • Assist with various IT director-level team and system management activities with the global Business Systems team.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • Majoring in Information Technology / Information Systems Bachelors and/or Masters Degree (e.g. Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Systems, etc.) or other related fields

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Ability to work well in teams

  • Understanding of data analytics/reporting tools including Tableau (or similar such as Power BI) and Microsoft Excel

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (including Outlook), Microsoft Teams (or similar video conference/instant messaging platform), and Document sharing/storage tools (i.e. SharePoint, OneDrive, or similar)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Edge and Chrome web browsers and Internet searching and navigation

  • interest in IT Project Management and/or IT Application Life Cycle management

  • Interest in exposure to large enterprise IT system architectures and landscapes working understanding/exposure to a wide array of technologies

  • Interest in data analytics, dashboarding, and data visualizations within this scope and expanding to other efforts.

  • Completed coursework, internships, or class projects related to application life cycle management, Agile development processes, project management, or similar disciplines.

Program Requirement

  • The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.

  • The candidate is expected to be available to work in person 40 hours a week for 10-12 weeks between May and August.

May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and move a light to medium weight. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and learn technical information. Students enrolled in a Graduate degree level program are eligible to receive a higher rate than the range listed below. Master's rate: $32/hr; PhD rate: $37/hr

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00
