Position Title: Instrumentation Technician

Anticipated Start Date: 09/20/2024.

Expected Duration: 12+Months.

Job Type: [CONTRACT]

Pay Range: $25/hr. - 35/hr.

Job Description:

• Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for an Instrumentation Technician to join them. You will report to the Development Laboratory Supervisor and will have an onsite, 1st shift work schedule in Niagara Falls, New York.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• An associate's degree in related field with at least 2 years as an APDT or 6 years of related experience.
• Four-year technical degree in related field with at least 2 years as an APDT or 4 years of related experience.

As an Instrumentation Technician, you will:

• Execute the test firing of rocket engines.
• Program, set up, and operate data acquisition DAQ systems for hot fire testing of liquid rocket engines.
• Perform complex assignments involving the set up and running of data acquisition (DAQ) systems and data reduction software which includes the calibration of test equipment and instrumentation.
• Contribute practical solutions to problems that may arise while completing assigned tasks.
• Perform data reduction of hot fire tests.
• Determine proper connection of test cell instruments to the DAQ.
• Set up and verify test cell instrumentation systems.
• Perform complex modification and repair of electronic systems and components.
• Clean, repair, calibrate, and operate gages, transducers, flow meters, and force systems.
• Work to controlled documentation, procedures, and drawings.
• Occasionally work in and around rocket test cells.
